Night-blooming Cactus
Cactaceae Epiphyllum oxypetalum
Lupe with our cactus. The white petals have the texture of fine feathers. The blooms open about 8 pm and close by 5 am the next morning. The blooms produce a penetrating sweet scent. The drooping blooms were from the day before. Over a period of three nights we had 17 blooms. Apparently in the Philippines there are no native
pollinators.
